DRAFT — PENDING REVIEW
This is a working draft written from how the platform behaves. It has not been reviewed by an attorney and is not legal advice. It is published so the terms somebody agrees to are readable; the reviewed version replaces it and carries a new version string.
These terms cover the use of this website and the trade platform behind it, operated by The Fabrication Desk, Lawrenceville, GA 30046. Using the site, submitting a form or signing in means these terms apply. Reach us through the contact page or on 470-584-8882.
[FOR REVIEW: the legal entity name, the registered address for notices, the governing-law clause, the limitation of liability and any dispute-resolution terms are for counsel to state. Nothing below invents them.]
Countertop fabrication, measurement and installation services, quoted and administered online. The public side prices an indicative estimate from published direct rates. The signed-in side holds trade accounts: projects, quotes, orders, documents, measurement bookings and history.
An estimate is not a quote. Preliminary estimates are indicative and based on what you give us. Final pricing follows drawing review, verified measurements, material classification, fabrication requirements, site conditions and approved scope. Fabrication, measurement and installation are always quoted apart from one another.
A quote is fixed once it is issued. An issued quote states its own validity window and cannot be edited afterwards — a revision is issued as a new version and the earlier one stays exactly as it was sent. A quote that has passed its expiry can no longer be accepted; ask for a fresh one.
Trade accounts open on approval by a person, never automatically. An application asks for business details and for something we can check — a Georgia resale certificate (ST-5), an EIN, a contractor licence or a certificate of insurance. Attaching the document is what verifies the account; a typed reference number is a claim we check by hand. An account can still be opened without a document, with a written reason recorded against it.
Every approved account opens at the Standard tier with one user. Additional team members are added on request today: self-serve seats and team invite links are not built yet, and no seat allowance is enforced on an account. The counts shown beside each tier describe what those tiers will include, not what is available now. You are responsible for who you ask us to add and for what they do with the account.
Keep your password to yourself. Tell us if you think an account has been reached by someone who should not have it. We can suspend or close an account that is being misused, that is not the business it said it was, or that owes us money.
Tier pricing is earned on delivered square footage and reviewed every ninety days. It is not negotiated, and it is the same ladder for every account. Builder terms are by application only. Current rates render inside your account; the ladder itself is described on the memberships page.
A membership is a separate thing from a tier. A paid plan carries seats, document features and a measurement credit. It does not grant a rate: paying for a plan while a tier approval is outstanding bills at the rung the account is actually on.
Credits are per billing month and do not roll over. A measurement credit is granted for the current billing month and expires with that month, whether or not it was used. It is applied to measurement bookings on the account and has no cash value.
Where a service can be paid for online, the posted price is the card price and bank transfer pays less. That ordering is deliberate: the lower bank figure is a discount, never a card surcharge.
Refunds return what was charged. A refund can be for the whole amount or part of it. A booking refunded in full returns the membership credit it used, to the month it came out of; a booking refunded in part does not, because the visit still happened. Nothing that is still clearing can be refunded, and neither can a payment that already has a refund in flight.
A refund is not money back until it lands. A card refund is usually immediate. A bank refund can take up to three business days and shows as on its way until the bank confirms it. Membership subscriptions are cancelled through the billing portal rather than refunded here.
Deposits, balances and payment terms for fabrication and installation work are set on the quote for that work and are not changed by this page.
Drawings, layouts, photographs, measurements and certificates stay yours. By sending them you give us permission to use them to price, produce and document the work — and nothing else. Uploads are held in private storage and opened only by the person handling the job. They are never published and never attached to anything a customer of yours sees.
Send only files you have the right to send. If a drawing belongs to a client or an architect, make sure you may share it before you do.
Do not try to reach another account’s data, probe the platform for weaknesses without asking first, automate bulk collection of pricing, or resell access. API keys issued to an account are that account’s responsibility and can be revoked.
We keep an audit record of significant actions — approvals, rate changes, quotes, refunds and the like — because a business record has to be able to say who did what.
The platform is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be reachable without interruption, and scheduled work occasionally takes it offline. Nothing here reduces the obligations we take on in a signed quote for actual fabrication, measurement or installation work.
These terms carry a version string, shown at the top of this page and recorded against every application at the moment it is submitted. When they change, the new version is published here with a new string.
[FOR REVIEW: limitation of liability, indemnity, warranty disclaimer, governing law, venue and dispute resolution belong in this section and are deliberately not drafted here.]
